Want to Ride?
Event Registration
Sign up early! Walk-in registrants will be charged an additional $25, and Internet Pre-Registration speeds up your event sign-in. Immediate payment is not required, though we do give you that option.
The price per session is based on both the number of sessions per day, and the number of days you're there.
- The minimum donation per session is based on how many sessions and days you sign up for. The more you ride, the cheaper the cost.
- You may sign up for any sessions or days you like, and you can add/change sessions at the event registration desk.
- Online Special: Sign up online for every session every day at MMP, and save $50!
- Remember, online pre-registration saves you $25 over registering at the track, no matter how many sessions you choose.
- For your first day of riding, one session is $125, two sessions are $165, and three sessions are $195.
- For two days, one session is $120, two are $160, and three sessions are $190.
- For three days, one session is $115, two are $155, and three sessions are $185.
- For four days of riding, one session is $110, two are $150, and three sessions are $180
Rider Pledge Donations
Any rider is eligible to participate in Racing 2 Save Lives! You do not need to have a roadracing license, and we'll even have free beginner instruction available for those new to the track environment. Please see below for bike requirements.
The July 2008 event will be held at Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, not too far from Salt Lake City. Directions can be found on their web site at www.millermotorsportspark.com.
The "cost" to participate is a minimum donation amount (though we definitely appreciate more!), which is based on the number of sessions you ride. If you ride multiple days, the cost per day does go down. You can choose to donate either through paying yourself, or by having people you know pledge donations towards your efforts either by cash or check (you collect it) or using a credit card via our electronic system.
To make donating as easy as possible, we even give you a special web link you can send to your friends, family, and coworkers to pledge towards your contributions. They give the same information as they would on the paper form, only instead of having to collect the money from them yourself, our system will collect their donation electronically using a credit card. Please note that if your pledgers wish to send a check or cash, you will need to use the paper form and collect their donations yourself before the event.
Curious about what to expect? Here are some key points about the event:
- We do request that you have a sport, sport-touring, or motard motorcycle, as big cruisers and full touring type bikes are a bit cumbersome to handle on the track.
- Full track safety gear will be required. This means either a one-piece race-style suit or a two-piece suit that ZIPS together. Leathers and textiles are both fine. You will also need a Snell/DOT-approved full face helmet in good condition, motorcycle boots which cover the ankles, and gloves which extend over the wrists. Back protectors are not required, but we strongly recommend them.
- All motorcycles, whether street or race, will be required to pass an initial tech inspection before entering the track each day. We'll be looking for loose parts, leaking fluids, tires too worn for track use, and any other issue we feel will present a safety issue for you and other track riders. We strongly recommend, though do not require that you remove your mirrors and tape up/disconnect all lights. Safety wiring is not required.
You will be required to drain and flush any Glycol-based coolant (i.e. antifreeze) prior to riding at R2SL, and refill with water or a mixture of water and an acceptable non-Glycol-based additive. Instruction on how to drain and dispose of fluids will be available at the track. This will not present issues for your motorcycle, and avoids dangerous coolant spills which take significant time and energy to clean.

- We do accept "walk-in" registration at the track, however we strongly recommend that you sign up in advance with our online registration! This will save you both time and money. We also encourage you to form a team with other riders, which keeps bikes on the track and makes it even more fun.
- Arrive early, to make sure you ride as much as possible. Our track goes "hot" sharply at 8:30am each day, however we will begin allowing riders to set up their pit spaces and garages as soon as they sign in. We recommend you get there at least 45 mintues before your first session starts to allow for registration, tech, and orinentation.
- Riders new to track riding should arrive at least one hour before their first session so they will have time to attend our free New Rider introduction class with our Rider Coaches.
- The track will be staffed with corner workers and full medical response at all times. Though we hope we don't need to use them, this provides the safest possible environment for our participants.
